PCTFE O-ring
Specialized in the manufacture of seals, SPN produces PCTFE O-rings. SPN has been active in the transformation and machining of high performance plastics for 80 years. To manufacture a PCTFE O-ring, SPN uses PCTFE or polychlorotrifluoroethylene compatible with oxygen gas.
In addition to seals, SPN also produces other types of machined parts such as valve seats and semi-finished products such as tubes, bars and rings. Experienced in this field, our company works with the high-performance plastic material of your choice using various processes to manufacture custom-made atypical components such as films, membranes, balls and all other parts with complex geometrical shapes. From design to production, our teams ensure that the instructions and requirements set out in each customer’s specifications are respected. According to your requests, we produce prototype parts. We are also able to guarantee the mass production of your components. In addition to PCTFE, SPN can also work with other materials such as PEI, natural or filled PTFE, PFA, FEP and PAI.
PCTFE is widely used in the industrial sector such as aeronautics, and can withstand extreme temperatures and even cryogenic temperatures. Thanks to its formula, which includes a chlorine atom, this fluorinated polymer also has one of the lowest melting points observed: around 210°C to 215°C.
